Keone`ula Campus Patrol Officers (CPOs) help to keep our campus safe before and after school. The CPOs monitor the various buildings and waiting areas and assist in the drop off/pick up area. CPOs also take pride in honoring our country’s flag with the raising of the colors to start off the school day. CPOs are 4th, 5th and 6th graders who have demonstrated responsibility and reliability in and out of their classes. They are leaders on campus who volunteer to give up their time to help make our school Safe and Successful.
Annually, the CPOs participate in two statewide campaigns called Show You Care and Stop If You Love Me. Show You Care is about students, families, and friends being aware of their surrounding while walking across the street. The campaign emphasizes putting an end to Petextrian Accidents, or accidents due to texting and walking. Stop If You Love Me is an effort to end distracted driving and help our students, families, and community to understand the importance of this issue. Many of our students and families across our campus take a pledge to Drive Aloha and practice safe driving, bike riding, and walking in order to keep our roads safe.
