The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) has contracted with a company to modernize our meal payment and monitoring. The new system, SchoolCafe, will provide a number of features:
There is service fee of 5% of the total deposit when making online payments. The program is designed to allow for better accounting of meals and payments at the schools and for greater convenience for parents/guardians to track balances and make payments. However, this program does not have the capability to create family accounts. Each student will have their own lunch account. When depositing into individual accounts, please indicate each student’s name and the amount to deposit. You will be able to go online to www.schoolcafe.com to begin making payments and creating your accounts as soon as this program begins on Monday, February 13th. Please note that we will continue to accept payments as usual at the office for parents that choose so. Please see the back of this letter for additional and detailed information. If you have questions, please call the school office at 307-2100. We look forward to this new project as a better way to provide meal service! |
