The 10th annual Hawaii Robofest competition was held on Saturday, April 8, 2017. The contest featured 66 teams from 19 different elementary and intermediate schools from around the state.
Keone'ula Elementary School's Robotics team, the Cub-Bots, entered 2 squads in the Main Category Competition "Robohit". We are proud to announce that our 2 squads. Cub-Bots 1 and Cub-Bots 2, placed 3rd and 4th in Robohit.
Congratulations to both teams, and to their advisor, Mrs. Nakama. Thank you for showing the state how our students earn their STRIPES at Keone'ula Elementary!
On Wednesday, April 12th, Keone'ula Elementary School held its annual Campus Beautification Day in honor of Earth Day.
Students from grades Pre-K to Grade 6 participated, picking up litter scattered around our campus. Thanks to their effort and hard work, we have a clean, spotless campus to learn in!
Thank you to everyone who participated! Not only did you earn your STRIPES, you helped make our campus, community, and island a cleaner and more beautiful place to be!
A former Keone'ula student, Emma Tandara, was featured in the Honolulu Star Advertiser yesterday. Emma recently earned her a Prudential Spirit of Community Award, a national honor for outstanding youth volunteers, plus $1,000, an engraved silver medallion and a trip to Washington, D.C., where she and other award recipients will be honored.
We are extremely proud of Emma, and everything she's achieved. Emma is a shining example of a Keone'ula Cub earning her stripes!
