A copy of this letter was sent home last week to inform you about an incident that occurred the morning of September 19th in the Ocean Pointe Community. A link for a printable copy of the letter is located below.
At approximately 7:05 AM, a student was walking to school on Kaipalaoa Street when a male driving a black truck pulled up and told the student to come into his truck. The male grabbed the student and attempted to pull the student into the truck. The student was able to get away and reported the incident to both school staff and to parents. The Honolulu Police Department has been notified about this incident.
The safety of your children is of utmost importance to us. We are sending this letter to you as a precaution, and to encourage you to speak to your child regarding measures to stay safe, specifically about “stranger danger.”
