Keone'ula Elementary School's Book of the Month
The Principal’s Book of the Month is a tradition at Keone`ula Elementary School.
This program unites the entire school community in a literacy activity as each month every classroom receives a copy of the featured book and engages in learning, thinking, and responding to that shared text.
Accompanying the book is a written response to the students authored by Principal Taga to share his enjoyment of the book as well as setting the purpose for reading or listening to the book read-aloud.
Books are carefully selected based on the positive behavior traits that our STRIPES program expects our students to emulate.
